The 532nd recipient is Cyd Monroe of Star Route Farm in Charlotteville, NY. Cyd writes:
What self-care and well-being mean to me as a farmer: “Having some time to clean the house and catch up on sleep after a long hard season.”
How I might use this $100 self-care award: ”I would use it on training for my new puppy so that she is able to join me on the farm next season and not be too disruptive.”
Most important self-care needs that contribute to my well-being as a farmer: "Time to decompress after the season, support with learning tools to come back more prepared, the ability to buy shoes and clothes that will protect me in the cold and rain.”
